The Hooker Electric Penn® International® 50VSX-VSW Detachable is the middle-weight electric fishing reel lineup. It does it all in spades. This Hooker Electric is capable of retrieving speeds of 500 feet per min with full variable speed. The handle mechanism is retained and it can be used in low gear. It is compact, light, fast, and very powerful. It shares the same hardware found on its bigger siblings, the 80 and 130 variants. Use it to catch deep water Snappers, large Grouper and Tile fish. Because the electric module is detachable, it makes it one of the most versatile fishing tools in your arsenal. Furthermore, if you have other detachable models, they are interchangeable. In addition, the detachable comes with a 100ft range 2-button RF remote control for hands-free operation. Button (A) for half speed and button (B) for full speed.

The Penn® International® 50VSX 2-Speed Lever Drag Reel is the professional tournament angler’s dream reel. Finally, a reel that can handle the stress of true giants that doesn’t weigh as much as a automobile. The Penn® International® 50VSX, like the other reels in the VSX family, is designed with upgraded internals that can handle the stress of fishing with ultra strong braided lines – The 50VSX will handle 775 yards of 150# test or 650 yards of 200# test. Target world record class black and blue marlin, swordfish, giant yellow fin and big eye tuna, the biggest makos, threshers and hammerheads, as well as goliath grouper. The Penn® International® 50VSX pumps out 56# of drag, and has an open face so level winding when fighting a giant becomes much easier. Used primarily for trolling, the Penn® International® 50VSX has a ratcheted drag lever that won’t accidentally loosen while on the troll, as well as Penn’s DuraDrag washers that will remain smooth and fluid while being ferociously burned by a giant tuna’s blistering runs.
